CPU/Mobo - Probably a noob Question

Using my current mobo+cpu specs as an example.

Will I be able to upgrade my CPU from (I think 130/180nm) to one that is 90nm without changing to a more up-to-date motherboard?

depends m8...

there should be semprons coming from amd that will be manufactured on the 90nm process... the boards probably just need a bios update to run em w/o a problem...older boards might have an issue but most of the newer socket A boards support 200mhz fsb..

pretty sure THIS the CPU support list for your mobo. tis the easiest place to look and see if a CPU is supported or not.
