cpu fan direction

i have stripped my cpu heatsink to clean it and having rebuilt it i am unsure of the direction of the fan
Does it blow air into the fins or pull the air out !!!

The fan should rotate anti-clockwise

or counter-clockwise (aka blowing onto the cpu)

yep... on the fan itself should be an air-flow direction indicator...

it is advisable to blow air onto the heatsink...
