CPU burn in?!?

Does it or doesn't it help...

When I build a new system or install a new CPU I do it just to make sure I get no crashes...

Some peopl claim after "burning in" you can turn the FSB up on the cpu some more...

of course it helps! it's called overclocking...bringing up the FSB will automatically overclock your CPU unless u turn down the multiplier.

Burning in will not allow you to turn the FSB up more...all burning in is, is stressing all compenets of the system to amke sure they can handle the speed you are using

so ya can slowly pump up ya fsb till the point where the burn in is no longer stable and that would be your max, but it does not actually allow you to pump it up more then you could have, had you not burned it in

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
