Cossacks the art of war will not run

I have bought both the original Cossacks and the expansion, Cossacks the art of war. Recently when trying to play on a new computer I bought the expansion will not run. A dialogue comes up but then it crashes and says that dmcr.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I am running XP pro with sp1. The problem may be my graphics card which is a ECS SiS AG315P-64. The card is good but may not run well with the other components in my computer.
