I just got this for my birthday

the graphics are amazing and the game play is fantastic

Yes I've played it. Very Myst like, but I am having a terrible time getting the audio to work properly in Win XP. Tried everything on the dreamcatcher web site and even some patches for it on the Cyro web site, no joy.

I really like the game and can play it for a while with the music off untill it crashes about 45 min later. Any ideas???

AMD XP 1700
Bios 1004
Asus A7V266-E
256 PC2100 Crucial Ram
Nvidia ge Force MX400 64mb
Sound blaster Live 5.1
2 WD 40 Gig 7200 rpm harddrives.

All the latest drivers, for nvidia and SB.


Any thoughts at all would be appreciated.

Try turning off hardware acceleration for sound ........

Actually tried every combination of video and audio acceleration modes. No joy.

Last night however I found a post on Cyro's web site that said to try loading the Win 2000 Nvidia ver. 3 Detonator drivers along with the patch on Cyro website.

I did and it runs perfectly. the link to the cyro website for the nvidia patch is:

I know it says Atlantis 3 but its the same game with a different name in Europe.

Anyway this worked for me and I am enjoying the game. If you like Myst, Riven, Exile worth a look.
