Constant tearing in MPC and flash plugin!

I'm getting a huge amount of horizontal tearing in Media Player Classic that doesn't seem to go away unless I turn on D3D Fullscreen which creates a fullscreen playback that can't be minimized, with no context menu or on screen dialog and must be completely exited to get out of full screen. which is awful. It also occurs in the embedded firefox flash plugin.

I've updated my dX and video drivers,
how do I stop all this tearing?

Have you tried VLC?

Give it a shot and see if the tearing still exists. If it is not, the problem is likely in MPC. If it is still tearing, there may be other issues,

I have tried vlc and mpc and wmp and the problem persists. i have also updated my video card, uninstalled and reinstalled flash, and uninstalled and reinstalled my codecs.

Personally I feel the best player right now is PotPlayer.

Once installed do not update through the player or you will get the korean language version.

I use the 64 bit version.

mpc is a player I've used for years and really like. the issue isn't the player, and I'd like to resolve the issue

Could be MPC as I had a similar issue with MPC which was resolved with Potplayer.

MPC is NOT what it used to be.


Edit:
I will also add that unlike MPC you do not to install codecs with Potplayer.

PotPlayer is able to play smoothly almost any media file you throw at it without the help of any audio or video codec packs installed on PC.

I'll try it, but I also had this whole setup installed in XP, and it was fine. Reason suggests that if there was a problem that didn't exist in Windows XP with the same codecs and same versions of Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player, or VLC, and it is a problem which now exists in all of these, the problem is not related to the player.
