computer wont start!

Heya guys, i have been having this problem i would like help with, some times when i turn my computer on it beeps for 4 seconds stops for 3 etc. etc.
the monitor doesntt turn on it just sits there beeping at me! if i turn it off then on it goes fine but its realy starting to annoy me!
please help! thanks for reading =):laugh:

check all your connections and seatings..sounds like something is loose...ram, cpu, hardrive

The number of beeps is a code used by the bios to let you know what the problem is i.e. RAM, CPU, etc. You can usually find the list of codes in the manual for the motherboard.

exactly how many beeps is it giving you? and what motherboard do you have?

You should check also the cpu cooler .. but I'm almost sure it's the cpu ..

That or ram could be loose. CPU seating could be off as well. Re-seat it and refit your ram.

yeah happened to me a few times, was a loose vid card. Worked perfectly after i removed and then reseated it.
