I'm in Korea and getting a triple-digit number of attacks showing up on my firewall every day. What kind of a rule in my firewall do I need to get this to stop happening, but still be able to join game servers in the country?
as long as your firewall is stopping them all then it's all ok. if it's not then dns a few of them to see if it's a commen i.p range + then block that range. i think you wil find it's blocked them all so you have nothing to worry about 😉
Agrees with Henyman. If your firewall is telling you that it's blocked so many intrusion attempts, then that must be a good sign that your computer has a good protection.
Of course, no one likes to see that they have been a target for intrusion, but there's not much we can do to stop people trying. We can only rely on firewalls and AV software to help prevent our systems from being hacked.
It's crazy! When I was in the US, most of my attacks came from Korea as well (along with a good portion coming from Everyone's Internet in Texas). I'm glad my firewall is blocking them, although there's not really a good way to tell if one slips through the cracks.
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
