I have just installed a 64mb gf2mx/400 pci into this machine to go with a 16mb tnt2 agp thats in it to get duel display. However, it boots up and I can have only the PCI card working and the AGP one "cannot start" (according to device manager).

In the BIOS, I can only give one of the VGA devices an IRQ. If I set the first to 3, and change the 2nd from disabled to 11 (for example), the first goes to "disabled" and vice versa.

Any ideas?

The full spec is:
Compaq Presario 5WV296 Desktop
AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1GHz
512Mb PC133
16Mb AGP TNT2
64Mb PCI GF2MX/400
onboard sound
2x proview 15" tft screens

i don't think compaq bios'es are meant to deal with more than one display. no advice, sorry.

aye, I've come to that conclusion now aswell after updating the BIOS with no solution.

However, I can easily change which display I want to use in the BIOS on boot, but I need both tbh :(

oh well, thx anyway

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
