I have my cellphone hooked up via USB. I am trying to figure out what communications port it is using. Is there a way i can find out?

please specify your phone model and make, as well as what software you are trying to use with it

sorry, motorola v300, I installed p2k usb drivers and it installed. Figured out if deviece manager and go to properties under advanced it says com3. i am trying to put games on my phone :)

never get one of the V series. They are such a pain to deal with. Better off getting $20 and downloading 4 of them instead of trying to warez them i guess.
/me takes idea to microsoft and sony for antipiracy idea and makes millions

USB devices sometimes use emulated COM ports for communications. This usually works pretty crappy. COM3 sounds like a good candidate since 1 and 2 are probably you real COM ports.

My friend has a motorola cell phone and we needed Motorola PhoneTools to transfer pics off the phone, I think it can do more tho.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
