cleaning up old drivers

Hi. New here. Great site.
How do you ensure all old drivers are cleaned up off your system, to ensure there is nothing clashing with new drivers. I have recently installed xp, and had to do a great deal of updating of drivers to get the system to work properly. I want to ensure all old ones are gone. Is there a program for this?

thanks
Greg

Fdisk, Format, Clean Install

Its the easiest and most foolproof way

Yeah, about to do that tonight. I figure it is the best way.

you can also boot into safe mode and check your devices for duplicate and/or old drivers.. you can also use a registry cleaning program to search for references for devices and programs no longer installed.. unltimately though a clean install is the best way to go and worth doing..

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
