Clean out unused start entries in msconfig

tired of looking at all of the unchecked, unused entries in the startup section of the msconfig (system configurator utility). Here is how to clean it out...

this is for the folks that know the experienced people that know how to edit the registry....

1. open registry...
2. follow [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder]
3. ensure that folders listed are unchecked and not used in msconfig startup and delete folder as required.

Once again.. this is for experienced registry users only. deleting things from the registry can result in a permanantly damaged Operating system, do this at your own risk!

no prob... i tried that with winME.. works well. I didnt even look to see if it worked with XP because they are kept in diff locations. Ill look it up again. thanks!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
