I have an older GeForce4 Ti 4200 4x by Visiontek. I just wanted to know how to check the voltage on that because im not sure if my ASUS P4C800 Deluxe mobo will support it.

any help would be much appreciated -thx

should be supported... newer boards are generally limited to 2x and higher or... 4x and up...

the gf4ti card you have should have no issues... afaik it should be agp 3.0 compatible...

Well, the reason im asking is because im already having problems… I just built my upgrade yesterday, booted up, and there was no video coming to the monitor. The fan on the AGP was spinning so I know it was definitely getting a connection.

My manual says “ Install only +0.8V or +1.5V APG cards. This motherboard does not support 3.3V AGP cards.”

hmm..

your card is a 1.5v agp afaik... 3.3 deals generall with 1x/2x cards... 4x cards are generall 1.5v/0.8v

this is very weird... ive sent an email to ASUS.

Let us know how it works out. A buddy of mine had a Gainward GE4-TI4800 that would not work in any AMD CPU based system with a a 333 FSB. He finally traded it off to a friend. Works fine in 266 FSB systems.

Well, it ended up not being my video card at all. It was me being a dumbass… I forgot to plug in the 4-pin ATX12v connector, im not used to these Pentium 4 boards yet. i found out for sure it is a 1.5V video card after e-mailing the maker. my new system works great now other then the video-fan making some weird noises.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
