but does anyone else have charter internet connection?
my friend has it and they changed the specs of his downloads to now 40KB after they increased his bw to 240KB. We were just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

tell him to unplug his modem, and plug it back in.

if he's using a router, have him restart that too.

he called, they are charging like $5 for 8x fast.. really supid if you ask me, but no one is ;p

It's not (stupid). $5 x 12 months x 15 million customers is...

REAL MONEY! (Even in the defense industry.)

(PS Thats close to a Billion dollars a year.)

What is stupid is paying $40 x 12 months x 100,000,000 for cell phones so you can be interrupted while taking a crap. (Guy in the stall next to me today got a call and was having a detailed technical discussion. Next time I'm gonna yell "Put that phone down and get your lips back around my d..k!" Then flush loudly.)
