I have just installed another MB on one of my computers same brand Abit. I have done this several times fixed the problem with Repair console on the XP cd. But this time nothing helps. I hope to solve this because I have some files that I dont want to loose. Any tip on solving this. I use XP pro with sp 1 one included.:)

You can always do a new install and recover those files as long as you do not format the drive.

Yep, just do a OS write over. (install xp ontop on its'self) Then backup your files, format, and reinstall if nessesary. Sometimes you don't even need to do a clean install after an over-write, but other times you get wierd gliches.

Just a good point of habit. ALWAYS do a full backup before changing any hardware. It will save you alot of problems in the future.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
