Change workgroup name?

is there any way to change a workgroup name, short of creating an entirely new one (=not fun)?

Well... Yes? No? What do you mean? It's just a name, why would it be hard to "create" a new one? Just write the new name and you're done.

Ensure the new name is the default for all PC's in the workgroup too 😉

right click on "My Computer" and choose Properties
Click the "Computer Name" tab
Click the "Change" button
at the bottom of the next window you can change the Workgroup which your machine is a member of.
