Change of CD Key

Okay, this may sound strange but I actually wan't to change my Windows XP Pro. CD Key. The reason for this (before I get flamed about "buy the software, prank!") is that I was (note: was) running a pirated copy of Windows, and then decided to buy it. Did so, and now I wan't to change my CD Key wihout having to reformat my drive. Anyone who knows how to do this?
