Change folder Properties

I know that you can go to "\view\choose details" and change the feel of the folders, painful experience if you have lots od folders. I also know that you can go to "Properties\customize" and select a templete. The templete must have been where Micosoft run out of steam. It is a great idea, if we could modife or add our own templetes. Am I messing something or did Microsoft code writers run out of steam.

Are there sites out there that are better suited for this type of question? It's possibale that the solution to my program my need some king of script.

Would it work if I used Mac files on my computer?
