change a partition size?

thanx for the info...

i don't know how to boot up kernel 2.6 from my knoppix 3.7. it is defaulted with 2.4 but i came across some info saying that i should use the command knoppix26 from the ISOLINUX bootprompt, but i am a newbie when coming to linux and i have no idea of where to write this... i just know it does not work from the command-prompt...

i must say i don't care what happens to my current partitions... i have backed up the data i need and i just want to reinstall any os, but preferable a linux one since i am thinking of learning some linux...

At the boot prompt just put in "knoppix26" and it will boot w/ the 2.6 kernel. I have been doing this with my box and worked fine. :)

i have to try that one, but i already mentioned that i am a newbie and i have no clue where to look for this boot prompt...

can anyone tell me what this is?

Sorry .. the "boot prompt" will be the screen you see after all the nice lines of stuff loading go by. It will have a prompt and directions to hit a couple "F" keys for options and blah blah. You want to type "knoppix26" at that prompt and hit enter to boot the 2.6 kernel. :)

I've used Partition Magic 8.0 on multiple occasions without problems. I wouldn't go so far as to say it sucks. Isolated cases don't say much about the overall quality of a product.
true true i had problems with partition magic like once or twice but i know that one of the times was because i had a bad copy of it but other than that i'd say that partition magic works like 99% of the times it's really good

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
