CDR Identifier needed

I need a program which will tell me the maximum speed I can burn on the CDR which is inserted into the CD-Writer drive.

I tried CDR Media Code Identifier but for every CDR, it says: Recording Speed: Min - Unknown / Max - Unknown

Can you help me please?

I've found that (at least with CDRWin) if you set the burn setting to "MAX", it takes into account both burner and media speed.

As for tools, check out www.cdmediaworld.com under "CD/DVD Utilities". There's scads of stuff linked there.

I read the print on top of the CD or the Pkg it came in. Speeds around 24 to 40 Really depend on how you have your sys configured. ie- DMA , set burner to max and go for it.
