I can create and read CD-RWs on my XP machine. But when I try to read them on a machine with ME installed, the machine does not even reconize that there is a CD in the drive.
Is there a solution for this?

Are you burning using 'end session' or using something like directcd.

Thanks for your reply
I just copied files using the XP wizard. If I use other burning software what burning settings should I try?

There are several patches from MS about CD writting and reading, make sure you have all the updates (ME mayalso need to be updated)

personally I would not bother with the XP Burning engine. It doesnt do the best job and there are a vast number of problems with it.

You would be better using a dedicated CD Burning program, there are some that are fairly cheap. They will do a better job than XP CD Burner

Doesn't the xp burner work like directcd? Pretty sure it does. That means that the burnt cd's will not be seen in other operating systems.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
