Catalyst 3.5 Drivers

On the Hercules website it states that the old drivers should be uninstalled first before installing the new ones. Last time I did this it messed my computer up big time.

Is it really necessary to uninstall first or can I just install over the old drivers?

ATI suggests the same thing. I have installed the 3.5's over the top without any problems, however.

I've started uninstalling the old drivers since I found out about Driver Cleaner. No problems here.

not necessary AFAIK... I always install over older drivers...

Just to update you, I have now installed the new drivers over the old ones with no probs
