Last night i was playing nfsu and my pc locked up.
I hit the reset button and when the monitor booted the screen was garbled with random colors but i could still see the post and such. what in the world could cause this?

card could be overheating. make sure the fan on it still spins and seems seated correctly.

And if the Vid card is overclocked too roll it back to standard speeds.

Check your system temperatures. MB should be 35-40 deg C and processor should be 45-55 deg C. (High end when gaming). If the internal temepratures are too high it can overheat the vid card.

my cpu and case temps are 43c and 35c at full load so it might be the vid card fan

i had a new that did that, i just sent it pack and got my money back, wasen't gunna started messing round with the heatsink or anythin like that on a new card

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
