Houston we have a problem!!!!!
My son has a website and for some reason we cannot see it,we get a blank page, but apparently everyone else can.
Can someone please click herehttp://www.live-for-games.co.uk and tell me if it's there.

If you can see it anyone know any reason why we can't??

I get this page, It goes like this

This page is a place holder for your future web site

http://live-for-games.co.uk/

Access to your Site Administrator: http://live-for-games.co.uk/admin/

Clicking on the above URL will require a username and password. This should have been supplied to you by your hosting company. Access to User Administrator: http://live-for-games.co.uk/user/

Each individual user within your site will have access to their own administrator page. To login they will need to supply their full user name, johndoe@yourdomain.com, and the password that was given to them.

Marge try doing
Start > Run
"cmd"

then in the console window try doing
nslookup live-for-games.co.uk

btw I was able to turn this up
Code:
 <<>> DiG 8.3 <<>> live-for-games.co.uk
;; res options: init recurs defnam dnsrch
;; got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 47154
;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 0
;; QUERY SECTION:
;; live-for-games.co.uk, type = A, class = IN

;; ANSWER SECTION:
live-for-games.co.uk. 1H IN A 67.15.8.62

;; Total query time: 308 msec
;; FROM: tapper.stealth-ninja.co.uk to SERVER: 127.0.0.1
;; WHEN: Tue May 18 15:48:36 2004
;; MSG SIZE sent: 38 rcvd: 54

so you could add
67.15.8.62 live-for-games.co.uk
to your C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file
then run
ipconfig /flushdns
from the commandline

Thanks Geffy that worked.Liam said to pass on the message "Thank you sooooooooo much :D
Still got a little problem, cuteftp will not accept the password however we can get in through in the browser and connect and upload files.Tried changing the password but it still won't accept it but atleast he's a bit further forward :)

it could be the FTP connection type using PASV instead of PORT mode, but if the ftp server has been properly setup then there should be no problems

btw - your welcome ;) :D

smartFTP is better as well :)

-edit- /me tries another shot at staying on topic

I also see "coming soon!" now if that helps :p

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
