Cant open a simple folder

I can accsess the hard drive but as so as I open a folder nothing happens, it due to the file folder command but i dont know how to restore the command. And windows restore does not help


has anyone any ideas ?

You can try the following registry fix:

Start Registry Editor, locate and then click the Default value under

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell

Click Modify on the Edit menu.
Type none in the Value data box, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor.

Good Advice yoyo, but may I suggest that value goes in two locations?


Open regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell

and

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell

and give both the value of: None

I tryed fixing the reg files, Then I had an idea I installed Powerdesk 5, it gave me back the file folder option after I uninstalled Powedesk 5 I could then again open folders with the standard windows explorer.
