Cant install java virtual machine????help

My computer shop site requires java,and when I try to install it I get sent to microsoft site saying.We're sorry.Automatic installation of Microsoft Virtual Machine is no longer provided for Microsoft Windows Xp. Can I install it manually? where can I find such a thing??? thnx to any and all replies

i believe its under Windows Updates if you let it scan, i think its a 5Mb program under Windows Updates not the Critical folder.

Go straight to the source of Java. Use Sun's Java Runtime Enviroment 1.4

I had some stuff turned off in services.msc,once I turned all the crap back on it installed,then I turned off all the stuff in this cool tweak guide.
