cant get ACER 8x Burner to work....

i have an ECS k7s5a motherboard with Athlon 800, and was wondering why it doesnt find this burner, my old 4x worked good,

ive changed all jumpers, not work

ive try to download drive, not work

gonna throw it out the window, if notihgn else works, it better

please help

Does it find the burner in the bios...or does it not find it just in xp.

if it doesn't find it in the bios i'd suggest checking the jumpers and cables, then remove all the extra drives other then your hd, set the burner to master on the secondary channel and see if the bios detects it then.
