cant access files from another pc guest account

hi.. i networked my 2 pc... from one pc... i cant access the files from the other pc.. it asks for a guest account password that i never set up. how do i make other pc accesible? thnks

also the guest account is disabled by default. When you try to conenct ot the other computer do have any shares setup?

no shares set up.. so i should just share the drive i wana access?? thnks

What you might want to do is disable "Simple File Sharing"

In Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View
Under "Advanced Settings" scroll all the way down to the bottom and UNselect "Simple File Sharing (recommended)."

Now other accounts can access your drives AFTER you share them. If you are not in a DOMAIN environment, accounts created locally with same username / password can access other computers with same username / password.
