Cannot uninstall AVG8

Hi all,

I am writing this on behalf of a buddy of mine.

He is using Vista64bit, He is trying to install a different antivirus, but it is complaining that AVG8 needs to be removed first.

He has tried a couple of times to uninstall/reinstall/uninstall AVG8 through Add/Remove panel.

Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Is avg compatible with vista64 ? Worst comes to worst; he may have to reformat to get it out. It also a good policy to not use more than one antivirus at a time. They will clash with each other.

He is trying not to use more than one at a time, he is trying to replace AVG8.

Will have to check and see if AVG8 is 64bit compatible.

see if you can remove it under safe mode, or go to admin panel services and turn off (disable) all avg8 services then try and uninstall
