Cannot log into XP help please ?

My sister has a pc with a 2 partioned drive 1): Win 98 2): WinXp.
She has bought pc round to me as she can run 98 no probs but when she selects the XP option nothing a quick messgae on a blank screen and no boot into Xp.
Can I access the winxp application by using a startup disk like in Win98 ? Possibly a simple question and an even simpler answer but yours help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance the techno ladies & gentlemen.

You can try using 'fixboot' or a repair XP installation - both options require the installation cd.

Thanks Lonman you are the man with your advise. Pc up and running and sizzlin hot. The documentation from MS looked a bit daunting but it really was a doddle once I got my teeth into it.
