Cannot get hibernation option.

I have always had hibernation on my computer till i just formatted and reinstalled xp with sp1. Any clue how to get it back?

Control Panel - Power Options - Hibernate - is "Enable hibernation" checked?

Make sure you reinstalled your MB drivers when you reformatted. PArt of the power manageemnt is in the BIOS.

If you're talking about having the option to switch to hibernate manually, then as you're about to turn off your machine... Start > Turn off... press the Shift key and the hibernate button should replace the 'Standby' button.
