cannot find "hardware"

OSNN Senior Addict
i was checking through my device manager and found that i had ethernet adaptor attached to my motherboard i didnt even know this was there but it said the drivers are installed and its working correctly so i took out my ethernet cable hooked it up to my modem plugged out usb went to plugin ethernet but there is no slot in my computer???

why would it say there is a perfectly working device installed if there is nothing there so i decided to remove it and restarted and then it popped up new hardware installed and just automatically re installed the adaptor.

there is a place for something on the back of the computer but the metal thing that covers the hole has not been ripped off yet, could this be it?

the device name is:
SiS 900 Fast Ethernet Adaptor

the hardware must be in my computer otherwise it wouldnt keep reinstalling when i removed it? would it?

can any1 shed any light on my problem:eek:
If it is next to your usb ports then yes i bet the cover plate has not been removed carefully lift the cover when the power is off to see if there is a connector there...or just take the side door off and have a look.

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there https://tinyurl.com/ycpxl
