Cannot copy files from one PC to another

I have two PC's both with XP pro and they are connected together by means of an ethernet network.
If I make a share on PC1 and then I try to copy from the other PC (PC2) to this share the copy starts but after one minute the copy stops and I get an error message telling me that the other computername cannot be found. If I check on that computer the file is there but the size is not correct.
When I copy a file from this share on PC1 to the PC2 everything works fine.
That's the only problem I have with my network, all other things work fine.

I get a similar problem, When copying/moving it tells me the network path is nolonger available.

make sure that u do not have the firewall running on the machines. also check any other firewalls that u could have up (zonealarm)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
