so I can know whats causing it.
The reason I ask is because I get crashes once and awhile. This is what always shows up in Event Viewer. I am wondering if my HDD is going out on me?
13 of these all at the same time.

hmm....i see that your comp is o/c. so you might not have proper cooling. also, try doing a system restore and see if that fixes it.

I would drop the system back to default and see if that fixes the problem. As it stated in the error report that the error occured during a paging operation (not sure if this is the same thing or not) you can try deleting the pagfile and let the system restore it. You might also run scandisk and see if there are any file corruptions.

looks like the harddrive failed... are you running raid?

Not running raid. I have looped 3dMark01 for 48 hrs. My CPU TEMP has never went over 42 C. It never crashes during any games. Just like in Office, and surfing the web. I am also running Office 11 Beta 1.

That looked like 5 different events. The pagefile error was a disk read error. If you are overclocking your FSB that could be part of the problem.

Since you can run madonion for 48 hours? jeez! Your video and cpu are fine.

Get sisoft sandra and run a ram test for 30 minutes. It's probably ok but it won't cost anything to do it.

If the ram looks good you could try a read write test of your unused hardisk space to see if there are any flaky sectors. Not sure if sandra will verify the whole disk or not. Maybe Norton?WARNING backup data before trying this, just in case. Also if its a newer hard disk taht has SMART make sure it is enabled on the drive and in the BIOS. SMART looks at HD temps and stuff and can predict an imminent drive crash.

My bes guess though is since teh crashes show up running app's you probably have buggy software (especially with an office beta release). I tried the full release of office XP for 1 hour last year then reformated and went back to 2000. Too much fancy stuff.

Here are links to info on the different events.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
