Hello.

I have some 80g drives I use for storage. They are full to capacity, recycle bin disabled for them and perhaps anywhere from 1-5mb left. Each time I start XP, I get tray icons telling me they are full and when I click the icons I get a Disk Cleanup window.

How can i disable that for those drives?

Thanks.

The only fix I know of involves editing the registry so do so at your own risk and don't blame me for anything 🙂

you need to goto

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem

Create a DWORD called DisableLowDiskSpaceBroadcast

then depending on the drive letter you need to type in a specific data value i'll list the values for a few drive letters so you can just get it here

Drive C=4
Drive D=8
Drive E=16
Drive F=32

Beginning to see the pattern 🙂 hope that helps

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. 🙁

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
