hi, i have next to me a HP a1220L computer. currently formatted but still waiting on one more which i think is sound. It uses the Intel high defintion sound but before i can install it has this:

Prerequisites:
- You must install Microsoft's Universal Audio Architecture High Definition audio bus driver on the PC before installing these drivers.
- You must install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack2 on the PC before installing these drivers.

what the hell is the universal audio architechture high defintion audio bus drivers. i did some reasearch and i think its KB888111 but to no avial can i download it. My question is can some one anyone help me with this. TONS of reps will be given cuz im definately not sure where to get it from. Please help.

well ill try emailing them then but i just thought there was an easier way then just downloading it from the net. especially since the computer is a HP. And no it doesnt have a recovery cd, bought it cheaper since i got a copy lying around.

Most? I thought they all did.

My favorite one told me exactly what the solution was and that I could not get the fix until I go to Windows 64 where the problem is fixed. (Windows 64 was in alpha test at that time)

They never fixed the 32 bit dll. They said call support for more help.

Fantasi-
If the file madmatt posted doesn't work try doing a custom windows update. It should offer the driver under the hardware section after it scans your computer.
