Seen my first screenie of the 2nd edition one of my all time favorite games:

Apperently, both the enemy and friendly AI is incredible, and the attention to detail is top notch. It will be a North African, desert type setting.

What?

Oh, and that looks fantastic.. hopefully it will be as fun as the first one.

Whoah, look at the sideburns... has to be the brits.
German campaign will be interesting.

What engine is it using? Looks Doom3ish? I remember reading somewhere that Doom3 can do big outdoor areas as well...

I think it is something new, but seeing Doom3 used for something else would be great.

You are correct wachtourak,

Call Of Duty2 is the first game using the Doom3 engine.

anyone got an idea on when this is due to be released?

Will be interesting to see how it plays out, Doom3 showed that outdoor scenes could work, but it had very few of them (they did look gorgeus tho right?). Always hard these days to judge a game by screenshots.

No reason why not, the engine is done.
HAving said that COD was very well polished :)

Good point...

I've heard that it will have different soldier styles like the new Merciless mod. I sure hope not. I think it's the pits.

Sheesh, do I have anything nice to say....

I'll just shut up and say, I hope it rocks!!!

Here are some other pics btw.:)

Guess it isn't using the doom3 engine as we thought after all!

Guess it's still possible, but sure doesn't look like D3 engine to me either.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
