Cable modem tweak

i'm using a Com21 DoxPort 1110 cable modem. brand or model probably won't matter too much. is there any way i can tweak anything on my computer to let me use both the Network connection AND USB connection? i sent an e-mail to the company about it, and they said that if i did that, there would be a conflict between ports.

yes there would be, but why would you want to run both at the same time???

If you are thinking of a connection sharer? Buy a second NIC or buy a router.

na, just tryin to have both at the same time. don't know EXACTLY why, just do.

Not sure about that modem but i know the surfboard 4200 (the modem i have) lets you use usb and ethernet at the same time. I bonded the connections and the only thing it got me was a different ip address. I hit my cap before and since the cap for me was 1500, the second connection did nothing.
