Cable internet freezing

I'm sure this is experienced by everyone with cable modems. My connection drops off and their is no activity. Is there anything I can do besides manually disconnecting the cable from the wall? Like ipconfig or something to make my internet connection work again? Thx.

my friend had a problem similar to this (im on 56k so i cant relate, but...) he phoned his supplier, and after sending an engineer round it was decided that there was something wrong with the modem, something coming in, power/voltage or something was not strong enough, so the connection kept dipping, either way, the engineer adjusted the modem to work with his exchange.
so try giving your provider a call :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
