I am running XP home, with a surfboard cable modem.I use a ethernet cable to connect. My problem is I bought a new pc and It has XP home also + SP1. My comfigs are the same I think, but it dosen't go anyware. Could it be a problem with a link to my cable modem to the MAC address of my NIC card. I am stuck till I call cable. Any ideas.

call the cable company best solution, after all your paying for it

I think the MAC adress of the new Network Card has to be registered with your cable provider.
Give them a call and they'll explain/guide you thru findin the MAC adress of your new card

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
