burnt cd dont work on xp pro..why?

I have just installed xp pro and whenever i try to install a burnt cd i cant because it says things like cant determin the size of file........etc.

Is there a patch or something where i can then put burnt cd's on my computer.

Please HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

There were quite a few cd patches rlsd for XP make sure you've downloaded them all from the windows update site and see if that helps.

install a burnt cd.... meaning....😕
