i tried shoutcast to no avail. does anyone do this from their pc? would this be harder because i am behind a router? i may get rid of the router anyway seeing that i don't use/need it anymore.

Shoutcast should work fine behind a router as long as you set up port forwarding correctly. You need to forward port 8000 to the machine that's running the Shoutcast server.

I'd keep the router anyways, it offers more protection since its hardware based. If you use it along with your software firewall (I use windows sp2 firewall) then you will be better off.

I agree with the Admiral. :) Keep the router. If you setup port forwarding correctly, you shouldn't have any issues. Let us know how it goes.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
