You can't,telephone numbers and postcodes are completely different.A postcode is the same as what you call ZIP code

I understand your pain, but it's not tied to state, it's more so by zip code.

I can literally travel 1 mile, not be able to get Comcast at all, as another company, Charter, has that under its wings.

I also know people within Comcast who get it for less than me. Something along the lines of they have had it since the beginning of Comcast offering it and they are "legacy" customers.

Ouch, I thought most ISP's had automagically upgraded to 8mb when BT enabled the exchanges.
