I was on MSNBC.com reading the coverage on British elections, and I'm looking for a start on how it works. Can somone give me an unbiased-as-humanly-possible view of what interests each party represents? I know that anyone interested in politics has some kind of bias, but I'm sure that can be (mostly) set aside to give a quick rundown. Thanks!

I know politicians like to play games but are you sure this should be in the PC gaming thread Unwonted??

GYAHAHA!...I thought I had clicked Green Room. Well, anyway :nervous:

I'll let someone else explain it as I'll probably fall asleep after the first sentence.Politics is too boring *yawns* :tired:

Well, typically they wake up, do some work, have a spot of tea, go back to sleep and thats the gist of it.

Occasionally they'll get together and "discuss" things while playing cricket or having a biscuit at tea time.

Explanations of the election system, the parties, the candidates etc can be found on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_general_election,_2005

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
