Bootvis Problems

For some reason whenever I try to use a trace with bootvis, it says that it does not have write permissions on the bootvis folder. Whenever I try to uncheck the read-only permission, it keeps changing itself back. I am not sure if when I do run optimization if it is actually doing anything. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to run this as a user with administrator priviledges?
Another thing you might check is to right click on the exe file and then select "Run as ..." Then either select "The following user:" and "Administrator" or leave "Current user" selected and uncheck the box just below that (Protect my computer, etc.)

See if this will solve your problem.

My account on XP Pro is actually an administrator account and I know I have been able to use bootvis and the trace drivers option before,ut for some reason it isn't working now. Let me know if there is any further information anyone can provide.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
