can i get some help on this please

ok i think i found the real ptoblem, the task thing was set to auto but was not started, and i cant start it because of an error, the pic below will help

Check the Dependancies tab and see if all the services it is dependant on are started as well.

OMG ... someone has been fiddling with services I see :p

Hold on... I'll post a screenshot of all services on mine, so you can see which are started and which are not.

i disabled a lot of the usless services but i guess i did a little more than that, it is just that i dont want too many running because ia m on a laptop and i want to MAX the battery

See that the ones I have Started on mine are started on yours. If it works fine, you can customize it to your liking later. :)

thanks a lot. i will do it all tomorow i ax extreamlt tired at the moment, i will let you know it turns out

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
