Well folks ... This looks like a another fine forum ... :) Congrats!!!

I noticed at themeXP home they have a whole lot of interesting styles, wallpapers, bootscreens & loginscreens.....

I noticed in the bootscreens the scrolling little bar in the middle of the screen is sometimes in a different position of the screen or even gone alltogether ......

I would love to know how to remove it completely ..... :D

Thanks for now ....... Beginning

What?
Can you try that again. I'm lost.

erm not sure how to remove it... haven't seen a boot screen without it yet...

+ personally i wouldn't want to remove it as it tells you if your computer is doing anything... or if its crashed while booting up...

just my $0.02 ;)

Try setting all colours for the background and scoller to the same colour?

Is this what you are looking for?

Found this yesterday.

You can, if you feel like it, disable the Windows XP boot up splash screen.
Although this doesn't speed boot times at all, it does allow you to see if
there are any boot up messages appearing on your computer that might otherwise be covered up.

Edit boot.ini
Add " /noguiboot" right after "/fastdetect".

So, you'll end up with something like this:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="XP" /fastdetect/noguiboot

You will need to restart your PC for the splash screen to disappear.
To enable the splash screen again, just remove the switch that you added.

Yeah ... I suppose one would want to keep the scrolling bar .... That is the only way you know if it's still booting .....

But how to move it to another part of the screen ...... That would be nice ... :D

' Static 99 ' ..... No I didn't want to remove the guiboot screen alltogether .... Just modify the location of the scrolling bar ... Sorry for the confusion .... :)

It's been awhile..
but, to replace the boot screen, you have to edit a DLL file, or exe, or something, right?

but umm.. i believe somewhere in that same file states the position of the progress bar..
can't remember, though

Hmmm ....

Can anyone else be a bit more specific as to the locations of the scrolling and how to change it's position?

Say at the top of the screen or at the bottom ....... Not in it's default position. ....

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
