try out this app...

www.wincustomize.org

the BOOTSKIN application...

its free and painless installation of bootscreens...

there is a wide selection to choose from and its basically a click away.. I used to use it and it worked quite well...

ok ill give it ago thanx, but i still need to know if the bootscreen i downloaded works on a SP1 Machine

Install it and Windows will most likely no longer start.
Ntoskrnl.exe isn't the bootscreen it is the kernel, the heart of the operating system.

So if i apply it windows wont start at all?
Or will ir just default bk n load the otha one?

Likely it won't start at all. You would have to boot to the recovery console to redo the changes.
Better don't mess around with the kernel if you aren't familiar with the recovery console.
Especially remember to place the backup of the original file in a place you can access there (i.e. Windows directory).

lol Hmm i think ill leave it then

Thanx anyway

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
