Dear all

I am having some problems in upgrading my Bios. I have followed the instructions which seem quite straight forward but then hit a bit of a wall when I try to switch drive from floppy drive (a) to main drive (c). I type c: & nothing happens , is it because I have converted for FAT32 to NTFS ? If so can anyone tell me how to switch directories or walk me through another method of Flash upgrading my Bios ?
Thanks in advance – SPIT.

My system details are :
XP home edition
MANUFACTURER Micro-Star
MANUFACTURER PART# MS-6340
PLATFORM Socket A
PROCESSOR TYPE Athlon, Duron,
CHIPSET VIA KT-133
FORM FACTOR microATX
AGP SLOTS 1 x AGP 4X
PCI SLOTS 3
MAX RAM 1GB
DIMM SOCKETS 2

I know that when you are using a start up disk without the NTFS driver that you can't access NT file system.

Why do you have to go on to your c: drive? Copy all the files needed for the bios upgrade to your a:\ disk, and flash it that way.

I know also that abit has a windows based flash utility, and it worked fine for me...

and optimally you would copy the flash file TO the floppy, rather then reading it from the harddrive :)

so just copy the flash file to the floppy, then flash

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
