My mother has a amputated leg. She just got a 60,000 dollar leg that has microproccessors in it that control it. She laughs that she has to plug it into the wall. But this is the next thing and it is the future. Amazing stuff.

UK scientists have developed technology that enables artificial limbs to be directly attached to a human skeleton.

The breakthrough, developed by researchers at University College London, allows the prosthesis to breach the skin without risk of infection.
The team says early clinical trials have been "very promising".

Nice. I've been wondering when we'll get to this point ever since I started seeing these things in movies back in the day.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
